Alright, this was my first attempt at making clothing. I saw the challenge issued, and I just had to jump in. I decided to make an infinity/convertible dress, using this tutorial: http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/infinity-dress.html
because it was supposed to be super easy. And it would've been, if I had known what I was doing. I'm a relatively new sew-er, so I was just kind of stumbling my way through this. But if you know what you're doing, this dress is super easy, and I would recommend it. A couple of things before the pictures... I wanted the bottom-front of the dress to have a tattered, uneven look. And it would have, if I had realized that the straps are sewn to the BACK of the dress, and not the front. So I got my tattered, uneven look, only it's on the back. As a result of this, when I sit down, the dress is entirely too short. Thus, my modesty dictates I not wear it outside the relative safety of my own home.
I had to run to Goodwill to get my sheets for this challenge, because all the ones I had were boring, solid colors. I was going to raid my mom's sheet stash, but when I told her I was going to cut it up to make a dress, she was almost offended that I would dare to cut up one of her sheets.
  Alright, the pictures...

These are the sheets, laid out on my bed...

I figured out that I could "cheat" and use the elastic that was already in the fitted sheet for the waist of my dress. Which would've worked, until I sewed the band on. Beginning sew-er.

And this is the finished product:
  Front:

And the back:
