when I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse

So, it took me the whole month to find a sheet that even halfway interested me in terms of a pattern.  This one stood out, on June 29th in the Salvation Army, due to its border at the top, now in the hat and at the bottom of the skirt.
My daughter is modeling the 4-piece outfit here.

I had no pattern to go by, so I looked at a wrap-around skirt I had, and a bathing suit top I had.  I also had a vague memory of making a hat like this once....

And I made a cuff with a little hot-dog type roll on one side, which I neglected to get a close-up of.

skirt bottom shows pattern that normally goes at top of sheet.
Thanks for looking!  I am a real sewing novice and would love constructive criticism.

Oh, and here is the before shot of the tag, labeled FULL attached to the sheet while it is all in a heap on the floor.

Very cool - what an awesome sheet, too. Cheesy  I really like how you've used the trim too!

My constructive criticism? I love it. You have a real eye for layout. And excellent skills.
Keep constructing!

BTW, I've been sewing forever.

This is very awesome, great use of the fabric, and your daughter looks lovely. I am especially fond of the hat as a finishing touch.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!

God, that is gorgeous, and it suits her perfectly! The hat makes it.
