I made this skirt last year in my Beginning Costume Construction class (I'm a Theatre major). It's pretty simple, but I'm proud of it because it's the first article of clothing, aside from pajama pants, that I ever made on my own.

That is really cute! What type of material did you use?

Thanks! The black is some sort of silk, I think. It's really light weight and kind of coarse. And then the blue/white/black is just plain old cotton.
