Does anyone know of a pattern or tutorial for a bag similar to this one?

http://www.etsy.com/listing/52565205/classic-size-mims-convertible-backpack?ref=sr_gallery_15&%3Bga_search_query=backpack&%3Bga_search_type=handmade&%3Bga_page=2&%3Border=&%3Bincludes

I know how to do the bag part (I think) but am a little confused as to how I'd make the straps...   ideas?

I think something like this would be PERFECT for a "purse" for me so I want to make myself one!

They're two straps.  One begins on the left top side, goes over the bag and ends at the righ bottom side.  The other does exactly the opposite.  They're held together with some sort of d-rings at the top (bag mouth).  Nice, pretty idea!

so when carried as a tote, the two straps overlap?

hmmmm....

I guess I need to find some bigger D rings to do this, the only ones I have are tiny!
