I just looked over the previous galleries and all I can say is WOW. How creative people can be with what they quilt out. I just started sewing so in no way am I ready for a swap like this but I will be watching and practicing and on the next round I will hopefully be confident and ready to join!!

HEY LADY FRIEND Smiley You can practice it is not as hard as you think and you are SOOOOO creative. Brush up on your binding and the art will come..it is a great feeling to bring fabric to life for someones home....They are always amazing really...I keep stepping them up bigger and better then the last...I can make a quilt but art quilts are different in many ways but love them so much....

Hey ladies I saw a pic of an art quilt that was like ragged on the edges not bound and it was wild as heck but amazing cool

LMAO I am reallly new and you should see what I am making now for my first, by myself, project....I thought I broke my sewing machine earlier LOL I am having a heck of a time reading the patterns and figuring out what goes where and the terms that are used...I will practice!

Sweetyevil, I chose what I want to recreate image wise and go from there.. I am not the most talented, but have improved so much over the last few years and let go of inhibitions that would hinder my creativity.

Babs, I know what I want to make, and am loving the plan, as I know you will, it IS off your lovely wists, just re-interpreted into fabric and other mediums.

I was only at work for 8.5 hours, how did we get so many pages, did I not check in yesterday?

Hi all,
I've sent in my questionaire!!!! And I'm so excited. Grin

This is only my second swap, but I think I might be addicted already. I've been looking for another swap to do, but with two small children I was a bit concerned about having time to make something within the deadline, so this is perfect.

It's a quilt - which i love to make
It's not too big - no marathon quilting (like with a queen bed quilt  Shocked)
there is a huge lead time - perfect
now all i have to work out is how to be artistic! Huh

Yay, I'm in!  I'm so excited for this swap!  I'm having a baby in September, due the 15th (my first was late, so we're not figuring on this one being early or anything) and I plan on sending early.  We're visiting my family in August, who live 10 hours away by car, so I can probably do any hand-quilting and binding on the road.  Yay for crafting while someone else drives!  Like today - 2 hour car ride, great time to craft!
