What is picasta, you ask?  It's "Picasso Pasta," the loving nickname that I gave to my oddly-shaped pasta. Cheesy

In case you haven't already deduced, I made my first batch of homemade pasta today.  It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be, and it was super good.  The only thing I would change, though, is to make sure that the noodles are thinner.  Oh, and I am totally using this as an excuse to buy a pasta cutter.  Although, I kinda like my freakish little dish. Cheesy

The pasta recipe that I used was one posted by Bunny Tu Tu back in February.  You can find the recipe here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=338650.0.   I topped the pasta with Spinach Pesto, from AllRecipes.com.  The recipe is here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pasta-with-Spinach-Pesto-Sauce/Detail.aspx

Ideally, there would be mushrooms and onions in the Pesto, but my beautiful husband in his loving attempt to help tried to "chop" the onions and mushrooms in the blender.  Bless his heart, lol.  So, I added some tomatoes and sausage for texture and color.  It is topped with Parmesan cheese.  Overall, I was pleased with how it turned out, and it tasted really good!

And the results:
