A beaded gift for my sweet hubby for whom this flag holds great meaning.

I may rip out the bottom to replace the black beads that form the motto there. I started out with lower quality beads (in the wording), so the words themselves appear more organic looking and hand written. To me, it looks more realistic that way (the way a hand sewn flag from the late 18th century might look), but he's the type of guy who likes a more consistent look.

He's worth it, but I must say, I'm not looking forward to re-doing all those rows. This tiny 5" x 3 3/8" peyote stitch slab took me far longer than I had anticipated.

Below is my version (with the more uneven looking motto).

two things.

one, i love your quotes about giving up and growing up.

two, WAY TO GO.
i would NEVER have the patience for this.
it would take me about a YEAR to do.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I'm seriously laughing at this one, but not because it isn't fabulous!  I get a visual of the scene from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie where the ditzes are trying to come up with environmental things to decorate the prom.

The snake is gorgeous!

Great job!
