So I've been having a rough year and my mom is sending me to Blizzcon as a present (and something to look forward to).

So I wanted to send her a present in return. But I'm seriously broke and just started digging around in my closet. I found Perler beads that someone had given me but I'd never got around to playing with.

My mom got me started on gaming when I'd sit next to her and help her with Final Fantasy on NES when I was about 3 or 4.

So I made her Final Fantasy Sprites!

wow... I just want to say... Your mom is awesome! ^_^

And those sprites are amazing! I wanted to make some like that for my husband. They have inspired me.

Congratulations on going to blizzcon! Thats super hard to get tickets for.

I totally did a double take when I saw these - I made a set of plastic canvas needlepoint coasters for my cousin for Christmas along identical lines - only I made them square with a black background and white border (wound up a bit too small for a drink otherwise). He and I used to play that game on the rare occasions we saw each other (families live in different states) - he'd play, I'd read the maps and monster guides.
And just to really bring it full circle, now he's working at Blizzard! Have fun, and awesome job!
