I can't believe I just watched myself sew the straps of my dress in between the fabric and the lining...so that when I turn the bodice, they will be INSIDE...*headdesk*

Sorry to hear that!  I cut out letters for a jacket and it was tedious!!  I'd hate to have to cut them again.

I can't believe I left my bag of yarn out overnight.  At least the cats had fun!

I can't believe I just sewed a skirt to my ironing board while basting the waist band on.

This is a fun idea for a thread... I'm surprised there's so few responses.

I can't believe I am incapable of counting.  I do this all the time.  I can't even say I was distracted this time; I was sitting in bed with the TV off, getting in a little needlepoint before I fell asleep.  I am doing jacquard stitch and my repeats are five squares... except for one place, where I made it 4, and now there is a wonky "step."  "Oh," you say, "Just rip it out and fix it."  Except that I got at least another hour worth of work in BEFORE I EVEN NOTICED.
*facepalm*

(Just for reference, this is jacquard stitch:   see? not that hard.)

I can't believe I just...

Broke two leather needles before realizing that 3 seams in one location is not feasible. Wish I'd got the hint with the first needle, because the second one ended up in my eye!

Hand-stitching it is.
