the little mettal things that make the loop are they just like a straight pin or like a screw? ive been wanting to make stuff like this but all i can find is the straight pins and i always thought they were like screws. cause i thought the straight ones would just pull out or something. so help me out here.

They're eye pins (straight pins with loops already on one end, you can do this yourself with round pliers or buy them like that). I use pliers to bend the other end and put a little hook on it, kind of putting a U shape on the end. Once you drive it into the clay, smooth some clay over the hole and bake! Another option (depending on what sort of piece you're making) is to use flat head pins. The head will either stay on the outside or be stuck inside if you choose to bake it into the clay.

"what the hell did she do to that poor cheesecake"

Ha! I love this! Cheesy

Just looking at the picture, I thought "hmm, that's different; skewers in cheesecake!"
they look so tasty  Grin
That's the reason why I even looked at this thread. I saw the picture on the front page and thought it was a real cake and wondered what's the purpose of the skewers.

Great job, the cake looks very real!

I saw the picture and my first thought was, "That is the most delicious-looking set of friendship necklaces ever."  It actually does remind me of some of those friendship necklaces (8-year-old you and your best friend each keep half of a heart pendant), only classier.  And tastier.

I love this-I think it would be perfect for a bridal shower, each bridesmaid could have a charm for a bracelet. Instead of cheesecake you could do do a bridal cake. The cheesecake looks so real! Great job!
