This is what happens when someone who’s trying to eat less sweets has a craving… mini cheesecake!

These were so much fun to make, except for the fact that I was using really old paint (powder mixed with strong smelling mystery liquid). I will never use that stuff indoors again! Actually, I’ll probably just use the powders with liquid clay and get rid of the other stuff altogether.

But, besides all that, so much fun! I do wonder, if you where going to make cheesecake, what would you use to texture it? The best I could get was scraping sandpaper along the sides…

You did an amazing job! If it weren't for the little metal things I would have thought at first glance it was actual cheesecake.  The sandpaper you used to texture it worked, it gives a better look to the cheesecake.  DH says that it rocks cause it's his favorite dessert...lol.  Grin

Good job!

What grade of sandpaper did you use?  A larger grit will give you deeper, more variable pits in the slices.

That tutorial is really neat for cake, and it would probably be great for bread too! Cheesecake doesn't have the same texture as regular cake though, so I don't think it would give me exactly what I'm looking for here.

Wow, it looks so real. I've seen a lot of clay cheesecakes but your strawberries look the most real out of all of them!
