Sorry I haven't put the tute together yet. It's been very busy around here. But I do promise to make one up for you all! I even made another bag so that I could take pics along the way!

As for the fabric, it's all out at the lake, but I'll see if I can find out who makes it when I get back!

I'm going to send a link to your tutorial (which looks really well done by the way) to my friend... she really could use one of these!!

Thanks again!!

****update****
I added the link to your tutorial to my website Smiley
I've been accumulating great crafty links!  I still need to get my friend to make this.  Man, she needs one! hmm.. maybe two lol. (not because her car is messy - her husband could use one as well)

awesome! and very nice tutorial! One question though, and maybe I'm just missing it, but what do you mean exactly by double folding the edges of the plastic? I've never sewn on plastic before and I'm very visual, so I'm not quite getting it.

Great idea. I was thinking earlier this week that I needed one of these. Your post is just in time! You save my brain from having to come up with one. Thanks for posting the tut!!

Happy to help, everyone! Glad you liked the tute!

One question though, and maybe I'm just missing it, but what do you mean exactly by double folding the edges of the plastic?

Well, fold the two layers of plastic over to form a small hem, and then just do the same again, in the same direction. Sort of just concealing raw edges if there were some on plastic. I didn't really know how to explain it well. I'm very visual, too, so I get what you mean!

Anyhow...does that make sense at all?

Such a pretty solution to such an un-pretty problem!  Cheesy The plastic liner is great - I've been wanting to make a pretty trash bag for my car, but the problem of how to stop the kids half-finished juice boxes leaking everywhere has had me stumped...Great job!!
