I'd like to know what people are wishing for, too.

I'm a decent sewer, but I usually make my own patterns, which would be difficult with people on the other side of the world.

Can we reconstruct clothes? Are people asking for accessories?

Thanks!

that was my question entirely.... can we just alter or embellish clothes and make them into "rockstar" type clothes or do we have to make them all by all?

this swap sounds so cool, but i was wondering that myself.  are we restricted to sewing entirely from scratch, or reconstructing?  i was under the impression that it was sewing from scratch entirely.

I'm offering my knitting skills for this one, but I'm not a excelent knitter. I have problems with lacing, for example. But I can do most of the simple things and I'm a fast knitter. I can't sew, so I'd love a halter, or circular skirt, or even a-line skirt.. I've seen suche great skirts around here.. But I'm thinking of letting my partner do whatever she wants Smiley

We can be open to both reconstuction and sewing/knitting... People are asking for knitted things so don't worry. Some are more time consuming and some are simple thigs. You will have your partners measurements so you can always go to a thrift store, find something and reconstruct. No one is asking for bags but they are asking for arm warmers, shrugs... I'm going to try my best to match people up accordingly but you will probably need to contact your partner and ask questions. suggestions are welcome, I want everyone to be happy.

I'm really excited for this swap, and for an awesome summer project wahoo!! I wanted to post this measurement guide to help swapees:

Hopefully this will help partners become familiar with each others shapes & sizes since everyone is different.  I know we all go through hell trying to find clothing that fit!!!

What kind of things are people requesting, hawaiilove? And what are people saying that they want to make, if you don't mind my asking.

I want to join, but I can only think of one thing to request! I'll keep thinking on it, though.
