A NEW day, a NEW doll... another poppet!

This is technically my 3rd poppet, as the 2nd one is just waiting for hair/eyes/clothes and a future home Wink .  Thank you ghilie for the original pattern and the ongoing addiction!

This poppet was created for SunflowerSmiles, for The Poppet Mini Swap Round 2.  This was going on the themes of fantasy and blue, and trying to incorporate feathers along the way.

Quick details:  she is a boobie poppet, with torso taken from the Eleanor pattern, and the rest of her are the original poppet pattern.  Her top is from a thrift store tie tied with ribbon which is threaded thru home-made wire "eyes", her skirt is layered black tulle and blue sheer curtain, topped with peacock feathers.  I used 2 yarns and put in a braid, beads and feathers. Her hair is a removable crochet-based wig.  Eyes are hand painted with 4 colors of nail polish.  I love her bald and nekkid, but I just couldn't let her go out without some kind of outfit, which needed a wig to match, haha!

Here she is in the  The Poppet Mini Swap Round 2 Gallery:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=347781.50
and here is the Ongoing Poppet Along:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205341.0

So here we go....

And funny thing, I also really think that naked/ hairless poppets are uber cute too!

She's adorable! I love her eyes, and her clothes are awesome! She looks so wild and exotic with all those feathers.

Aw... thanks everyone, I really appreciate it.  I'm glad you like her!  I'm working on one that could be a cousin of hers at the moment. Wink

I am the happy recipient of that lovely and I'll tell ya...she's really really pretty in person.

This is the first regular sized poppet I've received (got a mini in one of my first swaps long ago) and I just love her. She's up on my fire place mantel and I love taking her down and looking at her. She's so well made.  Soooo pretty.

Thank you again puamelia!  Kiss Kiss

Thanks I know how you feel, my first poppet still has beads for eyes.  I actually sanded off the color with an emery board (nail file) and painted it with nail polish.
They used to look like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/29590548/12mm-safety-eyes-for-cat-in-green-10
More details here: <http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=347781.50;
I thought about selling them on Etsy but I wouldn't know how much to charge. Smiley

You can find eyes on eBay or etsy... here's one shop. http://www.etsy.com/listing/47729356/18mm-clear-animal-craft-eyes-5-pairs I bought clear in different sizes from saplanet because I couldn't decide on a color.  My poppets kinda evolve as I work on them Wink .

You can do a search for animal eyes for other shops too. http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=animal+eyes&search_type=supplies

Is there anything else I can help you find?
