These are some random pictures I've taken.  I I live in the mountains, and enjoy mixing hiking with photography. I actually took the pictures of the waterlilies at a community that has a lake.  It's easy to take aesthetically pleasing pictures with so grand a surrounding.

Crab Tree Falls:

Yellow Mountain Gap:

Mysterious Community College (My mom visited it at a nursing conference; I went with her.  I have no idea what its name is).

Looks like home to me!  Not a traffic jam in sight.

You've captured WNC's tranquility very well; I can almost hear the waterfall!

Wow, that waterfall is gorgeous! You've really captured its movement, and the effect of the light through the trees makes it look very mystical. I wish I lived near there! Smiley

Thanks everyone!  I admit I'm biased, but I personally feel I live in the most beautiful place on Earth.  My dad takes even better pictures than me, but he has been roaming the mountains for 30+ years with his camera.  I'm impressed you know where I took these pictures, Eodril. *hands a cookie*

I'll resist the urge to go on a long blather on about Mal and Inara; it would only segue into a general blather of how Firefly's awesomeness.

I forgot to add this one, so here it is.  It's also from Yellow Mountain Gap.

These pictures weren't actually taken in the park.  It's a good guess, since they were taken fairly close to them.  Either way, they're beautiful.

DH & I love to head up there for vacation.  Screw the beach, we want mountains!  We stayed at a great B&B near Lake Lure that had no internet, cable, or phones.  *sigh*  Gorgeous.  Too bad ya'll get snow, or I'd be tempted to move there!

The snow is a good thing in my opinion.  Absolutely beautiful, and fun to play in.  There are several places that don't get as much snow, like the Cullowhee area.  They can go some winters with no snowfall at all, which is a bad thing in my opinion.
