I took my whimsy box to work today and myself and a co worker and the residents all looked at everything and ooohed and ahhhed over everything all over again.
The bacon lip gloss really smells like bacon!
We all had a sniff.
I have already added some badges and bits to my Teesha Moore style journal cover, that I made in the craft along.
Yah!

I'm glad you like your whimsies akredhead.  The cross-stitched paperweight was the third crafted whimsy I sent.  I sent the little honeypot as a little extra.  I collect honeypots and it seems someone gives me that particular one as a gift a couple of times a year.  I have a stash of them just waiting for anyone who enjoys "bee things".

( Oh; and in case you haven't figured it out, the scrabble tiles spell "No Whining")

Here are the wonderful, whimsical goodies I received from akredhead.

The "jar":

The crafted whimsies:

I love love love all three crafted whimsies.  The hot pad is hanging happily in my kitchen, the cat toy was promptly stolen by my daughter to become a kitchen magnet for her apartment, and the button pouch is seldom out of my sight.  It's beautiful beyond words and will be treasured for many years ( that sounds hokie, but its how I feel every time I look at it... so I'm hokie I guess).

And the huge array of whimsies:

These whimsies are my favorites.  Check out that teeny tiny key!

Thank you so much akredhead!

I think my swap partner has a lot going on at the moment and I know she received a few weeks ago so I thought I'd post some piccies of the Jar of Whimsies I sent her, hope that's ok.

So from Black.Eyed.Spyder's questionnaire it was clear that she loves the Sailor Jerry tattoo style, so I thought I would theme the jar around this. Here's the actual "jar", which I covered in Sailor Jerry pics...

And then a swallow tattoo coaster which I cross-stitched:

a Sailor Jerry-esque keyring:

And then through chatting we discovered we both have a Pullip collection, so I put together a little outfit for one of her Pullips, including a tiny swallow necklace  Smiley

The last thing I made were some pacman magnets:

I then filled the jar with lots of embellishments, stickers, buttons and bows and some little themed packs based around things my swap partner put on her things I love list (and some random things). I won't post them all but here's the Dino-topia pack:

I also put in some random larger whimsies:

I had sooo much fun thinking of things to do for this swap  Smiley If my partner reads this - I hope things calm down for you soon  Smiley
