My 2 and a half year old daughter loves Lightening McQueen. So for my friends 30th Birthday fancy dress party, I made her a Lightening Mc Queen costume. For those who don't know this character, he is the main character in the Disney/pixar movie 'Cars'.

If you click on the thumbnail pictures you can see them larger.

It did take a lot of work and time, but it was worth it. she loves the costume and still asks to wear it every now and then.

I did think that our idea was original, but I googled and found a couple of similar constructions. The only tip that I thought made the car look really good was to print and stick on the stickers/eyes/ logos etc and of course a foil lightening bolt!
