After two years of living in our current place, I FINALLY got my craft room together. Ok, posting before pics, don't judge me...

So, as you can see, it was not exactly the best use of space, nor the most welcoming room to work in.  So, after a LOT of work, and an Ikea run, this is the room today!

The veiw upon opening the door

My insanely organized closet

The window that wasn't letting in any light anyway, plus my ikea paper lamp

My amazing Expedit!

And finally, my computer desk made out of a Lack coffee table!

I know there's not much decorating done yet, but I'm just so excited to have a useable space! Not to mention, all this was packed into a 7x12 foot room!

Thanks, guys!

Beautiful!  You've inspired me to at least try to make sense of my craft space.  Thanks!

Looks awesome - excellent use of your space!  Your before pictures look like my sewing room right now...  Sad  I still haven't gotten rid of all of the boxes since i moved 7 months ago...

I also echo the awesomeness of the Expedit bookcases/cubbies...I bought the 4x4 version and am now envying your 5x5.  Maybe in the next place if I have enough room Tongue

Wow wow wow! Great job! I'm jealous. I wish I had a space to craft that wasn't my bedroom!

*Jealous* Oh, what it would be like to have a craft room to myself! I'm currently down to half a room, having to share the other half with the hubbs and his computer/nerdery. Great job on the organization! I can only dream of being that organized! And IKEA is the greatest store ever. Except maybe Hobby Lobby!

I love this, especially your desk...I'm putting an Expedit into my bedroom when I move in at the end of the month and I've been looking for a small desk to incorporate into it. Did you have to cut the Lack down depth-wise at all?
