What a great way to start my vacation.  I got this cutie in the mail today (the one in the middle, the one on the end is the one I made for myself)

She has swirls and letter beads on her front and back.  From what I've seen on-line she's more traditional and I can't wait to make more.

And whom did you receive from?

I love the swirly embroidery.

The one you made is also very adorable--how is the face done?  I love the lips.

It was me!! I'm glad you both like it - I had such fun making them all and I really wish i'd listened to the advice about making one for myself!

I really like the teapot ones...Its great that, even though I wouldn't think to make one myself, we can get all of the different interpretations of dotees through our partners.

Lovely job, Angelicus!!  I wanted to be sure to comment to the maker!

I love the basic dotees with embroidery but I also love the ones made from unusual materials or unusual shapes...they are all so unique and collectible!

I planned on keeping one I made, but then decided to send it to someone instead...for some reason, I always plan on making myself one of everything I make and never get around to it... Cheesy

I received my little teapot yesterday as well, and I adore it! I'm a hopeless tea addict, so this one's a perfect addition to my collection. I've just moved, though, and even though I've set the dotee aside so that it doesn't get damaged or lost among all my things, I won't be able to take pictures of it for a few days.

All the traditional dotees being posted are so elegant!

I still can't get my pictures to upload on Craftster so I put my dotee from Angelicus on my Flickr page. Here is the front:

She looks very Zen and calm, which calms me.

Here is a shot of the awesome embroidery on the back:

Another great addition to my collection. Thanks, Hannah!
