Can you hold your breath for ten minutes?
Have you ever silenced a sousaphone player with a flying watermelon?
Did you travel halfway around the world with an itsy-bitsy tequila worm in your pocket?

If so, then this is the swap for you.  We're also looking for supporters of Sam and Max, fans of Freddy Pharkas and lovers of Leisure Suit Larry.  If you're geeky for Grim Fandango, mad for Myst or devoted to the Dragonsphere then sign up and join us!

Here's a list of point-and-click games for inspiration: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Point-and-click_adventure_games

Details of swap:

This is a four point swap.  Please craft one medium and two small items unless you and your partner decide differently.  Extras are okay, but don't go overboard (and talk to your partner first).

Below are the guidelines for item size:

Large (3pts) = 3 or more hours = $30 or more = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse.
Medium (2pts) = 2 or more hours = $10-$30 dollars = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf.
Small (1pts) = 2 or less hours = $10 or less = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks.

I'll need you to keep regular contact through weekly posts to this thread.  You will also have to send at least three PMs; one to introduce yourself to your partner, one to let your partner and myself know that you've sent your item and one to let us know that you have received.  If you're going to be unable to post for a long time, let us know so that we don't worry about you.

If you want to participate, please fill out the questionnaire below and PM it to avocadoeldorado.

Wow, this is so specific! I for one love and miss adventure games! Big fan of the Lucasarts adventure games: Grim Fandango (Tim Schaefer is a genius), the Monkey island games, Day of the Tentacle. Hey, anyone like the Gabriel Knight games?

No! I'll have to check it out. The last game of his I played was Psychonauts.

edited to add: I just started looking at Host Master and it's cracking me up!

Oh, non-lucasarts game that I liked: Laura Bow.

I'm not obsessed. I'm excessively enthusiastic.

I found Myst really difficult.  I loved the feel of the game but I don't think I ever fully understood it and I definitely didn't finish. I was trawling the internet for new point-and-clicks the other day and found the game Pyst (a game set on the Myst island after 4 million players had nosed around and trashed it). I don't think I've ever seen a spoof game before.

Well, I'm not convinced that anybody is going to join this swap, haha.  If it falls through, I'd be happy to set it up again once you're ready (or even just do a private swap).

I've never heard of this game before. I'm going to have to try and find it now!

Did you start a thread on the 'new swap ideas' board to see if others were interested? I hope you get some swappers!!  Smiley
