Ack!  I couldn't let Friday go without a post!  Grin

I'm still in the middle of plying my singles, I should be done later today, I'm letting the caffienne permeate a little more in my body lol.

This is the Ashland Bay Merino in English Garden, 4 oz.

Here is the in process of detangling a mess of my singles.  Which is why it's taking 2 days to ply my singles.  I was attempting to make a plying ball lol.

ETA: Finished plying, finished project is 238 yards of laceweight.

Ack a double post.  Maybe a mod can delete one.   Shocked

just not this one!

That's pretty yarn!  I  have some, but can't share it this week, it's a swap package item.  But I will take pics of the squishy single my 5 yr old did on the wheel though! BBIB Cheesy

This is the yarn my 5 year old spun on my wheel. It started as pencil roving, so he didn't have to draft, he just controled the twist and treadled.

Future spinners yarn!

To show the variation in the color:

To show the variation in the twist:  not bad for a 5 year old really.

Awesome!!!  I love it.

My kids have been trying to 'help' me finish my plying, but they've been more in the way lol.  Trying to distract them into doing something else while trying not to squash their eagerness to learn can be difficult at times lol.

I love the color the of the English Garden! and the yarn the five year old spun....well....it looks like what i spin lol!

this is my first fiber friday post, I keep forgetting to post on fridays, I have been pretty ill as of late, but I will post my two latest yarns. I am a beginner, and am going to try to start plying next.

this is what my friend decided to call "tahitian sunset" . this name turned out better than my original name of it, which was flaming ball of badassness.  100% corriedale with yellow sparkles thrown in. 112 yards. My man has already taken it and knit it up into mittens. The pink in it knit into what looks like zebra stripes, very cool.

this is what i am currently finishing up. I am calling it Bombay. It is a mishmash of mostly teal (although it looks bluish in the pic) and red orange Corriedale with a lot of other little fiber pieces thrown in, including sparkles.

Everyone's yarn is lovely! And awwwwww, baby spinning melts my heart. Friday is my favorite day.

I've finally figured out how to upload photos to craftster, but now I can't figure out how to transfer them from the member galleries to the post - they certainly don't make this stuff easy, do they?

Oh well. Perhaps in a few more weeks there will be photos in this here box, but for now, links:

4 oz romney wool, 285 yards fingering weight 2-ply. Enjoy!

Lady sepulchre, I love that pink and orange!  How cool is it that i knit up into zebra stripes!

Shootenanny, that yarn looks nearly perfect! well done!  As to you picture posting issues, you have to have posted 10 times (and that can be all comments) in order to put pictures up in threads.

Oooo!  Where to start, where to start.....

Cheyenneswthrt07- Lurve the colour of english garden a really rich blue it seems. Also goodluck sorting out those singles!

Belladune- That's amazing for a 5yr old far far far better than my first attempts  Lips sealed

lady_sepulchre- Both Bombay and Tahitian Sunset are beautiful, I'm looking forawrd to hearing how Bombay knits up if the sunset one produced zebra stripes  Tongue. your man knits? that's just awesome.

Shootenanny- I feel like making off with this for my stash Tongue It looks so even, is that just practice?

Alas, I do have (a) yarn to post, but the light is shoddy and i have an exam in...less than an hour  Embarrassed... so i'll post it a bit later.
