This is so cute! ♥
Did you paint the tin or was it already in these colors?
If you painted it - what did you use?

Thank you for all the sweet comments! It gives me the urge to make more tins!
I'm feeling a bit like a celebrity with my tin on twitter and facebook and all!  Cheesy

Leilani79: I use card stock to cover my tins. I would also like to know which paint would be best to use.

So the tin already had those nice colors (the blue top and the stripes on the side) and you chose your motive to match these colors (which you did great, btw - I love the cute owls!)?

I'm asking because I have a tin that is very ugly and I tried to paint on tins before, but it never worked.

That's really cute! My sister has a stack of tins shes hoarding and wont share! Maybe this will move her to share with her sis (cause I hate altoids). I always wondered about "tin" paint too.

No it was a plain Altoids tin, I used turquoise card stock to cover the top, the stripes on the side is a ribbon I wrapped around the tin. I used double-sided tape to stick it all down. Hope that helps  Smiley

Those owls are frigging adorable, and I don't usually like owls.
