I'd be interested! I have two boys who love to go geocaching. ^_^

It would be neat if this were mixed with Letterboxing.

zigg13pra - I think I would definitily mix both into it, letterboxing is more crafty anyway.

I can organize but I won't be able to set it up until next week. Do you all have any ideas for swap amounts? Requirements? I am thinking some crafted items for the partner and then 3-5 very small items to be put into the geocache or something similar for the letterbox. I would probably try to pair up people who do the same one.

Let me know what you think and I will let you all know when it's up!

I was planning on including stuff for in the cache no matter what the requirements were so I think making some cool items for caches would be great.

I've not ever been a part of letterboxing, but looked it up and it seems interesting.

I never know on swap amounts, but I think one or more mediums and a small number of smalls would be good. The main portion being for the partner obviously. As for time, I'm fine with starting next week and having however long everyone else feels comfortable with. I'm good with 2 weeks, a month, 5 weeks, whatever works

I haven't managed to dig up my craft room stuff after the move so if this happens too soon I might have to sit it out. I try to attend craft night once a week when my sheldule permits, but I have limited time and supplies at the moment. If the craft time is long I might be able to join.

For sizes. 2 mediums and a bunch of swag/small stuff? Then those that want to go big can combine the two mediums into one huge item Wink

I wouldn't mind getting a mixture of geocaching and letterboxing stuff since I'm interested in both. Perhaps you could include preferences in the form. What we do (geocaching/letterboxing/both) and what we would like to craft for (geocaching/letterboxing/both).

YESSSSS!!!
I totally wanna join in!
As for sized, I would think 1 medium item and a bunch of small swag. Maybe we could do something with a Signature swag item?

I don't know how is it in other countries, but in Czech republic many cachers have "CWGs"= Czech Wood Geocoins. It looks like this  and every cacher has his own design with his nickname. It's not trackable, just for trading in caches. I don't like them too much but many local cachers are totally obsessed with collecting them.
I was just wondering, is there anything similar in other countries?

I've never seen wooden ones (but then again I've only found 20-something caches) but I sometimes come across signature items. At least I think it was... Some kind of poly clay thingy in a small ziplock. It didn't look like much, but I assumed it was special to someone since they went to the trouble to put it in a baggie.

And on a semi related note: Auuuuugh! I hate evil nanos that insist on hiding from me Sad I've found one so I know I can do it, but I hate it when they're hidden in places with a gazillion hiding places.

Oh yep.. I've found only two nanos and they were evil! However I think to find them isn't the worst, it's much worse to find a space on their logbook (and to fill the logbook back!) Grin
