It has been so fascinating to see how everyone has embellished their projects.  Things I never would have thought of, opens new doors all around, don't it?

grrlfriday, that is so impressive! You definitely went above and beyond  Grin I love how you focused not only on the content of the painting, but the history behind it.

My partner is out of town, so I thought I'd show off what I made her!

I darkened the whole picture and added the monsters, and painted the frame.  I'm quite pleased!!

I just got back and what a welcome present to find this waiting for me! It is so cute, my son is begging to have it hung in his room. Thanks for such a great job -- I should have yours done this weekend and will get in the mail as soon as it dries ;-).

worthwhilegirl: As I was flicking through the pages of American Photo, I saw another last supper inspired photo that reminded me of your revamp. All of the apostles and Jesus were "homeboys" and drinking wine coolers.  Cheesy  It's a fantastic photo by David LaChapelle. . If you get a chance you should definitely pick up American Photo and check it out.  Grin

Worthwilegirl's picture was sent out earlier this week, and should be there by monday at the latest. It's not nearly as awesome as hers! I had a super hard time with it, but all in all I guess it came out ok. Undecided

Channon you are CRAZY!! I got your picture this morning & I adore what you did to it!!

Here is what I sent to Channon:

And here is the lovely picture she sent me back:

and a close up:

I love that she took a crappy 70's-ish floral painting & kept elements of the flowers but gave it a totally vintage art deco feel! It is perfect!!!

Thanks so much Channon I really love it!

I'm fascinated by all the different approaches - some people let a lot of the original picture show through; others use the original as a starting point and create something completely separate.  GREAT JOB, all!  I hope Leah will make this into a Craft Challenge!
