Yay! Now that there's a gallery and I know Crafty_One has actually had a chance to look at her pages I can post pics of them. Here are the two layouts I created for her. We both agreed to do digital scrapbook layouts.


This first layout is for a picture of her daughter dressed as a pirate. She wanted shades of pink, black and white and I found the PERFECT page kit right off the bat.
Credits: I used the Pirate Princess page kit  by Britt-ish Designs; The journal block & tag are adapted from Rene Bross's Scrap Heap #4 collection; the stitches are from Lisa Carter's Keep Em In Stitches #1; page title created using April Anderton's sparkle glitter sheet.


The next layout was created to showcase pics of Crafty_One and her baby niece. I kept the design fairly simple as she said the pics are busy and gave it a soft color scheme.
Credits: background paper (recolored), mat, stitching & photo frames came from Julie Bullock's Frivolous page kit; the stitched flowers are from Lauren Bavin's Lazy Daisy page kit; Handcrafted Happiness Alpha by Bethy Nixon; and I er can't remember which of the bajillion kits I own that the tag came from.

These were a lot of fun to work on. Thanks for letting me scrap for you Crafty_One. I hope the pages work well for your pics & journaling!

Those are too cute! How does digital scrapbooking work? Do you just create the pages and add pictures and leave it on the computer or do you print it off? I've seen the software at Hobby Lobby but am unfamiliar with how it works.

Received my digi scrapbook layouts from crafty_one today! Eeee! So cute. Behold the adorableness:


A baby boy layout perfect for scrapping all about my son when he's born in September. I can't wait to fill this one in. I love the layout and the elements chosen. The framing of the main page is really nice.


A layout for pics of my daughter's dance recital. This was a tricky layout because unlike most dance recitals - there was no pink involved, just black and yellow! Not your traditional recital colors. Crafty_one did a great job playing into that color scheme with this layout and I love the photo and journaling block shapes!

Those are too cute! How does digital scrapbooking work? Do you just create the pages and add pictures and leave it on the computer or do you print it off? I've seen the software at Hobby Lobby but am unfamiliar with how it works.

You can leave the pics on the computer only, post them to the web in a gallery to share with others or print them and put them in a book. I've done all three. I've printed individual layouts to put in a regular 8x8 scrapbook and I've also had an 8x8 photobook filled with my layouts printed from Shutterfly. I prefer the photobooks of the two methods and that's what I intend to do with most of my layouts. On the other hand - printing individual pages means you can easily move the pages between books and re-organize them however you want. You can get a printer that does photo-quality printing and uses archival inks, or use an online service to have your pages printed. I think you can get them printed for around $1-$1.50 a page at a bunch of different places.

Here are my two lovely pages from april again. They are fabulous! The black and white one is all glittery. The Disney one matches my Disney book perfectly! Had a great time and thanks April!
(Sorry about the angle...I couldn't get a good one from straight on without glare.)

These are so lovely! I'd love to join the next round, especially if digital scrapbooking is an option.

I'm a paper scrapbooker, but i've just bought Photoshop Elements 8 to have a go and digital. It's so hard!! I can't do anything on it. What do you guys use for your digital layouts?

I really love the dance recital one. The layout is so different but pretty!

I use Photoshop CS. There are lots of kits that can help you get started and lots and lots of free kits too so you don't need to invest a lot in new kits to try digital scrapbooking. Here's a good intro to digi scrapping:
