Long time lurker, first time poster (so please be gentle with me Tongue).  I'm still learning to embroider, so I thought I would pick one stitch and practice the hell out of it.

Oh, and I got my inspiration from here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wardi/2260466215/.

The end result? A bazillion rainbow knots on black felt. I loves it. Now to figure out where to hang it.

[Edit: Picture added. Yay!]

C&C welcome.

I love it, it looks amazing and i want it. How did you have enough patience to even finish it, I probably would have never finished it.

Thanks! I don't quite know how I had the patience to finish it either. The last rounds of purple seemed to take years longer than any other round on there.

This looks awesome!! It kinda reminds me of the inside of one of those HUGE jaw breakers we had as kids (and never managed to finish lol). Great job! I don't think I'd have the patience to finish it either lol.

I love this, it's just so striking! It reminds of something seen through a microscope, it looks alive somehow. Great first post!

Thanks everyone! I never really thought it looked like a gobbstopper until it was mentioned here, but now I can't see much else. Ha ha! Makes me want to go back and add some white around the outside, but meh. One good trick I found for french knots is to use both hands. One hand holds the floss taut, the other slowly pulls it back through. I found if I didn't do that then the knot would end up real puffy. Hope this helps any of you with your own knots.
