The idea is to fill your Pringles can as full as you can with Crafted goodies! For this round we will be doing a Summer Edition! You will be giving your partner 5 themes to choose from to craft for!! Some ideas that have floated around are: Travel kit for kids, travelling, the beach, Sunshine, Sailing on the lake, and so much more!

Now the important info for this swap, please READ CAREFULLY!!
ONCE YOU GET AN APPROVAL PM PLEASE GO OUT AND GET YOUR CAN!!. Eligible cans include the original cardboard cans -or- (2) of the smaller mini versions of the cardboard can. No plastic cans please. Be sure to thoroughly clean it.

Please see this post to explain can sizes and size options:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=351417.msg4102989#msg4102989

Participants can include store-bought items, but please be sure that you personally craft at least 75% of the goodies in your can! Also if you wish to send an extra can or a larger item with your can please discuss this with your partner!

You will be required to check in with your partner and post in the swap thread during the swap! I will be noting any communication issues in feedback!! There is a long crafting period so if you will be away during it just PM your partner and myself so we don't get worried!

I have been wanting do do one of these, and summer is perfect because i love evrything about it, well except the heat.

I have a few questions,
what is the best way to clean it it seems hot water and soap would kill it since it is cardboard, do you wipe it out with a clorex wipe or something?
also how do you mail it? do you wrap it with some of that brown mailing paper? stick it in one of those envelopes?

Grin  You know, it's funny too, b/c the first time I was in this swap, I had to wait FOREVER to get a juice box to mail out the Pringles cans in.  My girls just had their birthday party and we have a bunch of leftover stack of juice box boxes as tall as my shortest girl, behind the chair in the living room!   Grin  (Maybe it's karma...saying "Sign up....sign up....sign up.....")

Oh that is most definitely a sign! Grin I'll back that Karma for sure Tongue Wink

Technically you can mail the can all by itself, but you decorate the can in most cases so I wouldn't recommend that! I used the box that Kool-Aid Jammers come in, they are the perfect length of box with enough room around them if you wanted to send something extra to your partner! You can use an envelope too but I would recommend one off the plastic-y bubble ones so it has less chance of it breaking open or damaging your can!! Oh and Clorex/baby wipes/alcohol wipes work perfect for cleaning! Prevents from water damage for sure! Hope that helps a little!!

So we are up to 3 of us now!!

To add to Slingmomma's cleaning tips after cleaning if it still smells a little like the flavor, add a little baking soda to the can, shake it up and let it sit for a couple days.  That helps the smell a lot.  Some of those flavors can be very strong.  lol

I'm hoping to join, just want to make sure I'll have the time to dedicate to it.
