Sugar Skulls and Virgin Mary

In my silk screening class my teacher basically lets me do whatever i want since I have already taken the class. So I decided to do a design I have been thinking about for a while and make up some shirts to sell. That turned into something so much more, it had me doing a photo shoot last weekend and now I'm setting up a selling Etsy and hoping to do something with the 20 plus shirts I 3 color screened as my final last semester.

Unfortunately the only close up I have was taken with my awful camera phone. I promise her face looks way less scary when its not pixelated.

one of my favorite shirt designs but my teacher was helping me finish the shirts and he off all people didn't put down enough tack spray so its not as even as i would like it to be.






All of the shirts are yellow or white.

Wow intense! The thought of silk-screening, or any kind of image reproduction, really, just always seems too technical for me... But yours are great!

Thanks!! its actually a lot easier than i thought it would be. This is my second semester but my first three color job, but i was doing two color jobs at the end of my first semester. It helps that my school offers it, the idea of doing it at home is a little intimidating. you should definitely give it a try, it opens up a whole new world! I've even made fabric to turn around and make dresses and purses with.

Those look so sweet! Quick tech question - what brand emulsion are you using? It seems like yours allows for very fine detailing.

I don't have my etsy up quite yet, it should be by the middle of this week but a wedding i was involved with this weekend took up a lot of time. You can PM me if want and i can give you more info on sizes and styles i have!

Those look so sweet! Quick tech question - what brand emulsion are you using? It seems like yours allows for very fine detailing.

We use a liquid emulsion that i cannot remember the name of but i have it written down somewhere...  I used a finer mesh - 210 for the outline than the colors, i used a 160 for the 2 colors.
