Several of my knitting friends have told me that when they use wooden knitting needles versus the metal ones, they don't have a problem with their arthritis.

I'm not sure what you use...

I know that when I crochet and use a metal hook, my hands ache so bad that I can only do a couple single crochets before I have to stop and rest them. When I use wooden hooks, I don't have that problem.
