I have  cut old jeans  on squares, then have sewed them together and have quilted  it. It seems nicely to me... Cheesy

I have been meaning to make a jeans rug so I can use it for outdoor picnics! Unfortunately, I don't have any sewing experience, and I have no idea how to attach the pieces (I am assuming I need a sewing machine).  Please advise me on how to go about making my own rug. Smiley

Ooh, that's so terrific! You got it so crisp looking, something I find hard to do with thick denim. The egde binding and the quilting really make it special. What did you use for the back? And did you use batting or something else in between the layers?
I'm going to think about about making a denim rug. I saw one that was all raw edges overlapped and frayed that looked really good too. Denim is one of those things that it's just so easy to reuse.
