Crafting to keep insanity at bay.

I made this puzzle for alwaysinmyroom in the Be Awesome Swap - I think she liked it  Roll Eyes Grin As with my other puzzles some have 3-d components, others are hand-drawn, some collaged. I had a lot of fun with this one - I love all the bright colors!

The fish piece has 3-d clear dots for bubbles - its hard to see in the photo but looks awesome in real life.

The quote on the greenish one is "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." I read that a while ago and it is so true.

The top one with the eye has special meaning to me because it was a part of one of my first ATCs that I really liked and kept for myself - I decided to take it apart to include in the puzzle so Always could have a part of me  Smiley So sappy but I think it fits in perfectly.

Its hard to see but the one with origami paper has a 3-d koi fish I made out of polyclay on it - it reminded me of a pond setting so I thought it was appropriate.

Better view of the koi.

Much better photos than I took!!  I love th koi one the best but each one is a treasure...so much detail and texture and color...it is truly AWESOME!

I love the different techniques you used and the sayings on some of the pieces truly speak to me...and some make me laugh out loud!! "What fresh hell is this?" ha ha ha

I am glad to have this to look at in my crafting room as a source of beauty and inspiration...I have learned a lot about paper crafting just by studying your pieces...

Thanks for a lovely swap...and for taking time to make something special for me!!

Always - I am so happy you liked it, and that it went to a home where it will be appreciated. My boyfriend doesn't really get a lot of my projects but he did say that I seemed really happy and energetic when I was working on it lol.

This is so awesome! Wink I love how you included your first ATC, that is very awesome, and the fish from poly clay is too cool! I'm definately going to be studying all your puzzles, I can't get mine to fit together so well after making!

This is beautiful (and obviously awesome!) - I love the flying key, the ship on the sea and the red one with the button flowers, but they're all great.

Thanks you guys! I had a lot of fun putting it together. As with my other puzzles I did each piece randomly so they're all oriented different ways and there really is no "right" way that it's supposed to go.

That's FABULOUS.

Silly question-- did you make the puzzle too, or did you alter the pieces of an existing puzzle?

The frame I bought can be hung in any direction Smiley

I am thinking of rotating the direction every once in a while because it looks different each way!!

I really love the dark smudged edges as well...and, it is mine! Cheesy

Wisted this! It is amazing. I have been floating around on Craftster for about a week now because I've hit a bit of a wall with crafting and I wanted to make something to go on my bedroom wall. I may have to find an old jigsaw and do something with it. I feel inspired now!  Cheesy

I've been looking for a new craft project and I think I've found it. You're so inspirational! It's like an ATC-puzzle-of-awesomeness - I absolutely love it! Though if I make one, I think it will go on my wall - I couldn't bear to part with it (I have such a hard time sending away ATC's as it is).

I've got a Hello Kitty puzzle upstairs that's just begging to be altered >< Yay! Thanks so much for posting this!
