Awww, thanks, Katara!! It's just because I don't have a job right now and I can focus on crocheting every day!! It's keeping me from getting too down...

Here are yesterday's and today's squares...

7/14 - I went with Lion Brand Polarspun because I wanted to experiment with textures on this granny afghan. I thought it would be fun to have a really soft, squishy square in there!



7/15 - This is a Jo-Anns' Sensations yarn I found in my stash. I'm sure it's probably discontinued by now. I kept saying I would use it for a cute belt or scarf & never did it. Since I know I'll be using my afghan, I figured now is the time to use all that "special" yarn!!

YES!!! I've had that stuff for years - white, hot pink, hot pink/pink variegated - and I've never been able to use it because I can't work with it! But I figured I'd be good with a granny square. It was OK, but I don't think I'd be able to do more than a granny square or some other open work pattern.

Haven't made today's square yet, but I spent the day with a good friend and let her pick the colors. One Lilly Pulitzer square coming up later tonight!

I am back from doggie/housesitting...and have nieces and nephews waiting for me....yikes!  One sis came and took da nephews for the week and I will be taking da neices to another Aunt's home for the week...while their Mother and Dad soak up the Florida sun for an anniviersary outing!!  I did get two sides worth of squares made and I will make up some more, add today and take a photo for an update tomorrow on Monday...Looking forward to getting back to my regular routine!

Crochet Angel...after moving I can see all the yarn that I've got and have cut way, way back on yarn purchases...   Your squares are all so very interesting...what an incredible blanket you are making!!

I'm happily following along, and while I haven't posted any pics here, I have been crocheting squares (not one a day, but...). I did 5 blocks from the 200 Crochet Blocks CAL, completed another 12" block (I think it's from the 2008 12" CAL... I only have 3 more to finish before I edge them and join them all!) and worked  a little on my granny rectangle afghan.

CrochetAngel- I was wondering why your weather patterns seemed to match the weather I was experiencing. Now I know- you live in MA, too And, I love your latest squares. Love, love, love how each square has a special meaning!

Kittymom13 & craftADDchick - Thank you so much for the encouragement on my squares, afghan! I can't wait to see how it all ends up. I really don't have a plan, I'm going with each day as it comes. But I think it'll all come together in the end!! What part of Mass are you in, craftADDchick? My husband and I are just north of Boston.

Here is today's square... It too has a story (of course!) It's bright yellow because Feng Shui peeps believe that exposure to too much intense yellow makes you anxious and I have had a very anxious day today. I have to take a class this week and I'm very anxious about it. I signed up for it when I had a job and I'm not even sure I'm sticking with the profession. But I can't get out of the class. Anyway, I decided to make my square anxious to match my feelings today...

Hi! I LOVE seeing everyones squares and ideas. You are truly some talented people! I have not been able to post any pics yet , I'm hoping that will change tonight! Its not one a day, but there is a nice little pile of squares building up. I cant wait to see what will be posted next!!
