Ok I definately want to do this... but I want to know if this counts..  I am working on a granny square blanket that is just one giant granny square.  I did measurements last night and I want it to be queen size (86x86).  I have 49 rounds to go.  The problem is that with each round it just gets bigger and bigger and takes longer and longer to get around.. 
Would this count as part of the granny a day??  I could really use the motivation..

funkygranolatree, I have yet to complete the requisite square-a-day! I am close (very close) to finishing up a project inspired by this CAL (and hope to have it completed by tonight) and have actually picked up my rectangle granny afghan to work on again. This CAL also gave me the impetus to start a project that I had been thinking about but hadn't tackled. I'd say that the biggest part of this CAL is the motivation that it provides, so jump in, join us and show off what you've got so you can bee cheered along!

Your little baby is adorable! Can't wait to see your progress on your granny square. I am so excited to be starting the CAL in July. I have been wanting to do it since May and just haven't been able to make time. In July, I WILL make time!!

Thank you!  he is the love of my life!  I have 52 rows left on my giant granny square blanket.  My go is to finish it by the end of July...  You can make time.  I know you can.

Well starting off with a rather girly one, not all of em are gonna be this girly

Just finished my first square for the CAL. I went with really bright colors for the first one. My plan is to just make pretty squares without worrying about matching. And since I think all the colors are pretty, I'm sure I'll think they'll match!

I find that I tend to gravitate towards certain colors, so if I just chose randomly from the bin of yarn, I'd have a good chance of things going well together. Of course, there are a couple of random yarns that are in there because I needed them for a project, so it could be risky... but nothing says I can't toss it back in and choose a new one
