Hello everyone!!

I was out of town last week and haven't updated in ages... I'll post the squares I did up to yesterday. I am going to continue crocheting five more squares so I can do a 6x6 square afghan. I'll start sewing them together on Aug6.

photo heavy...
7/22 -
Red and silver - red for the anger I felt when I had to call the state and was hung up on! Silver because there was some good from the day. LOL

7/23 -
This one is for a girl that I met in class. She wore a beautiful dress with these colors, so I did a square with the same coloring. Smiley

7/24 -
This one symbolizes my haircut. LOL. Brown hair with some blondish from the sun. Cheesy

7/25 -
Getaway day! Did a quick, thick white chunky yarn to get done quickly.

7/26 -
Greens because of all the trees near our room in Maine!

7/27 -
Beach day!

7/28 -
Alpaca yarn. I loved this yarn. It was soft, made from a cute little alpaca named Naomi. I loved it until the hank got all tangled and I had no way to untangle it. This square is really small. Not sure how I'm going to fit it in with the rest of the squares...

7/29 -
Another beach day - this is Red Heart ocean yarn

7/30 -
Black and white for our day spent on the road...

7/31 -
White, orange and pink - my Dunkin Donuts square!

When I have my other five squares done and I start sewing, I'll definitely post a picture of the final product. Thanks for sharing my square a day journal afghan with me! Smiley See you all in August!!! Smiley

My favorites: the red and silver one, the first beach day one, the black and white for the road one and the Dunkin' Donuts one! So much fun!

Thank you, CraftADDchick!! Smiley I'm so glad you like them! Smiley Any thoughts on what I should do with the teensy alpaca one? I was thinking maybe put it in the middle and sew the bigger squares around it. Think that would work?

(I also have a yoga mat bag in that first beach yarn. It's super cute!)

Hope you're well!! Cheesy

How much smaller is it? Is there a way for you to "applique" it onto a square that is the right size? My randomly-OCD (about the oddest things) brain wouldn't let me have that one small square in the middle and not have the rest all lined up. If it's that much smaller, you'd have to put filler stitching around it, wouldn't you? I can't puzzle out how it would work...

I know, the size issue is bothering me too. Sad It's a few inches smaller because it's double knitting weight and I only managed to get five rows done (while all my others are seven rows). I may do some filler stitching. Or, now that I'm home, maybe I can unwind the stupid hank and get all the knots out of it! and get it to the right size. I'm going to let it sit for a few days... I did a lot of swearing last time I worked with it. LOL.

Excellent job on the squares, Crochet Angel...I like the Dunkin' doughnuts square.  Hellloooooo, all!  Feels like I've been away a month of Sundays...train trips are great for getting reading done and stitching, and napping...but why in the world do they just sap ya???  I guess, despite all the relaxing I'm tring to do...it's not very relaxing!

Enough blabbering! Cheesy  Here's my final progress on this project:

I have put the sides on the main body...just not the top and bottom rows.

I know I had a photo of my Inga bag...not quite finished.  I've since put on straps and doing the finishing work.

I apologize for being so absent! Our internet issues are terrible right now.

All of your progress has been absolutely fabulous! I can't wait to see all of them pieced together!

I started an august link (probably al little to late so the buzz is pretty low this round) If anyone wants to join up come on over!
