I've narrowed it down to the item, now pondering the design and fiddly bits.  Thinking very hard about it.

But I think the old brainpan needs some help. Jeeves!  Jeeves, bring me some fish. That will get the old mind juices going.

Or maybe just a bracing cocktail...

Off to think harder with the aid of some browsing and sluicing.  Tinkerty Tonk!

I have more or less worked out what I'm doing, since it involves an internet order for supplies, I shall have a little while to figure out the finer details

Or maybe just a bracing cocktail...

Personally, I have recently discovered that when life (and certain sucky people) suck my soul away, that fruity, frosty bellinis help to replenish my soul.  I worship at the temple of Pickle Barrel on cheapie bellini Wednesday.  Even the brain freeze is welcome.

Beyond the distraction of watching the protest chaos on the news, I am finishing off package two for the MAF swap, and one of my large items for the Geezer swap.  I have figured out my large item for this swap, and have some ideas for a few extras, and hope to start this week coming up.  But that would depend.  I have work, one day of of pain management education, a meeting with a lawyer for a debriefing for work (ARGH!!!!), and a wedding to go  to/prep a gift for too.  Luckily I don't need a lot of sleep.\

What I really need to learn to make are bellinis!

The lovely Rackycoo and I have PMed a lot, and we decided that the items we're making one another are not going to be a surprise.  She didn't have many sewn items wisted, but she did REALLY want a case/tote for her new laptop, so that's what she's getting!  I had originally thought I would just pick up a pattern, but became worried because the patterns I liked didn't fit her computer, and the patterns that did were ugly.  I finally found a good tutorial online that I liked, but the case opened along the side, rather than the top, which neither Rackycoo, nor I, liked.  I sat down tonight and altered the pattern to open along the top, like an envelope, and then, just to be sure I liked it, I made a practice one for DH.  It went together very fast, and I'm really happy with how it came out.  Now I just need to pick up some nice buttons for it tomorrow.  (None of the buttons in my stash matched the awesome vintage map fabric DH picked out.)  Looks like after I get my friend's wedding quilt done tomorrow/Tuesday, I can start on Racky's item!

Looks good to me - the ones at the restaurant though are slushy type ones, so I may have to freeze some of the fruit and add some ice.  Also, play with flavours too -they have a raspberry one, and blueberry-pom one which are quite yummy.

I just sent pixieval a message letting her know what I'm making! Eeep! Can't wait to hear what she thinks & so glad we can discuss details rather than having me craft it up secretly.
