Big shout out to beth.wilson.norwood for all the helpful tips she gave when she made her string gardens AND for posting her string gardens in the first place Cheesy
So I tried string gardnes finally after staring at them for awhile....I bought a 6 pack of annuals for $3 so I figured it wouldnt be a big deal if I messed up. But I think I have a success!
Here they are when they were finished and waiting to be hung. It rained for like a week after I made them so they ended up sitting for along time.

And here they are hanging by the pond.

And one more for good measure!

In the first picutre there are 4 but there are 5 in the last two pictures.

Thanks guys!

They are wrapped pretty good with twine. Right away when I first made the dirt balls they stuck pretty well but I was very suprised how sturdy they got when I started wrapping the twine around them. Im still waiting to see if they start falling apart though Cheesy

Neat! Is there any particular type of plant that works better for this type of thing?

I wonder if this would work well with herbs.....  I have a few more herbs I want to grow, and think this might be the trick without starting a whole new hanging pot for 1 or 2 herbs...
