I've never really shopped at thrift stores for supplies.  I didn't realize they would have supplies too!!!  I should go check that out!

My LTS ( local thrift store) ocassionally has yarn and a few other sewing goodies but one of my favorite finds at a thrift store  is finding a whole sweater full of cashmiere yarn for 2 bucks..... Yeah so it involves a little work to rip a sweater but come on can you really beat a sweater full of cashmiere or angora or merino wool for 2 dollars?

AHH! One of the things on my wist ( a rat discetion) has a pattern up for sell on Ravelry Ugh it's almost as bad as the dragon pattern do i buy it or do i hope someone makes it? *whines* i hate these descissions

My thrift store usually has a ton of patterns, acrylic paints, yarn, stuff like that. I get baby bumpers and things like that to use the fabric for smaller things, but I've never thought of looking at the sweaters and using the yarn. Awesome idea. I wonder if my thrift store even has sweaters, you can only wear sweaters for a month of the year...hmmm. I'll have to check it out this Saturday (50% off day), just what my husband would love to see, me going through all the sweaters for more craftiness Smiley

I started some halloween crafts today, I hope I can make some for this swap because they are too cute. I'm expecting my mom to take a few so I have to make lots. Grin

Im fairly central it was hot last weekend but it's been raining a ton this month!
I was out of the country for a week and half so I had no idea what was going on with the weather here in KS. I figured I must have missed a thunderstorm since my aquarium pump went out some time while I was gone!  Tongue

I think the only craft supplies I have ever bought at the thrift store were a pair of knitting needles and some yarn. I am tempted to go this weekend to see if they have anything I could use for the swap. I've been spending time at work brainstorming on what to make for this swap... it's way more fun than working!  Cheesy

hey at least the sweater full of yarn only cost max of 5 bucks when if you bought it from an actual yarn store it would be upwards of 60-70 depending on the yarn ( the cashmere i bought is amazing and im soo excited to use it i havent even ripped it yet it makes me a little nervous) I really hope my partner likes knitting im on a huge knitting kick right now

I found a pattern for the most amazing knitted Halloween stockings... they make me want to learn to knit better. I can, just really, really slowly and my tension is so-so (also getting better). I may have to make one anyway...

Ordered a book on crochet zombies and vampires and stuff. Think it's called creepy and cute. Should be here next week yay! Can't wait for partners. I have a bunch of ideas and I want to get a head start on this because I know I'll procrastinate later. Back to cleaning out the craft room Cheesy
