I've seen kits sold on Oriental Trading Co.  My coworker and I made our own pattern and our 1st graders do it as a winter present (a.k.a Christmas present, shh don't tell, ha ha Cheesy) for their folks.  To keep it PC and non-Christmassy we do it in blues, white, green, purple and lavender.  It depends on what colors of paper we have.  Then families can keep it up into January too.  We just make it out of construction paper but the foam is so much cuter though.
