Does anyone know of any sites like ravelry that focus specifically on sewing? I love the way ravelry works and it would be great if there's a sewing related alternative  Grin

Burdastyle is the one that I can think of that comes closest, though it focuses on clothes and accessories.  Pattern Review is stupendous, and equally similar, and can conceivably cover every commercial pattern printed, the difference between that and both Ravelry and Burdastyle is that it's restricted to commercial patterns (but it does include the smaller, independent companies, so that counts for something!)

I have to admit I haven't really spent all that much time on there. I browsed the patterns but that's it really. I just love the interaction part of ravelry. The fact that you can keep on top of your stash and projects etc is fantastic. Maybe someone will make a sewing equivalent Cheesy I'm pretty good with websites-might have to give it a bash! (When I get the time!)

You can track your pattern stash on PR, but I don't think you can track fabrics.  And the interaction is more forum-style, like here on Craftster.  I think because sewing is so very different from knitting and crochet, you won't get exactly the same thing, but you can certainly come close!

I just wanted to let you know that there is a new community that is still in it's baby stages. But it's growing.

Is there a sewing community like Ravelry where I can keep track of patterns I want to use, projects I've done, and information about the projects?

Thanks

Hello Crafters,
Wondering if anyone knows any places where one can order custom made patterns? Providing a sketch or design and get a pattern made for it?
