fantasticmio: Thanks for the clarification! Might have to attempt making one tomorrow, just for fun. Seems like it would be an interesting project.

PixieVal: LOVE how that scarf is turning out, the colors are lovely, and the afghan looks like it's going to be great as well. Smiley

I finished the blanket I posted in last week's thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=378995.0

Man, I'm on such a "finishing things" kick, I wonder if I'll have anything to post in next week's WIPW thread!

Is it Wednesday already?  Time for showing off our WIPs!

I got some yarn for cheap at Michaels recently (It's Loops & Threads' Impeccable in Kimono Ombre) and had a hard time figuring out a good stitch pattern for it.

I finally settled on this:

Here's a wider view:

As you can see, it's curling... I'm going to need to put a border on this, clearly!

What are you working on?

beautiful thread, fantasticmio!  Great pattern to show it off, too! =]
What size is it going to be when done?

I'm working on Granny's Daughters and
a Hibiscus/Snowflake pattern...using up yarns! here's a pic:

The six white squares have been finished, the next six are complete and nearly added for another row.  Two more rows to make and add(total of 8 rows).

What a pretty square pattern!  I'm going to have to look that one up. ^_^

I'm not sure how big my blanket will end up being... I'm aiming for about 3.5' by 5', but it'll depend on how the yarn works out.  Once it's a good ratio, I'm going to see if it needs a border and work on from there.  I'm thinking it will look better with a border, so... all up in the air! lol

I got a crochet project this week!!

I'm doing a swap on Raverly, where I'm crocheting the girl 4 bellydance belts.

Here's the first one started:

The pattern was translated from some other language and it's all in these weird symbols instead of a chart.  There is a key for the symbols but there's some missing so I'm making them up...haha  I'm having a rough time getting it to look exactly like the pictures but I'm good enough at making stuff up on my own so hopefully it will turn out ok.

Great projects in here...I hope to see how they finish up.  The yarns, colors and patterns are all unique... Cheesy

I <3 scrappy blankets!

sarahj...are the belts going to have bangles on them...little noisemakers??  What a great project! Sounds like lots of fun, too...=]

The Snowflake pattern came from an older Herschner's magazine...If you can't find it...let me know.  I'll be happy to mail off a copy or something like that.
