I made this little fellow for the vintage movie swap.
My partner's film was Vertigo so I tried to give an impression of dizzyness by making white spirals on greys and blacks. The roses border is for a very beautiful scene in a florist shop. It is roughly 5 foot square.

the back is made of black and white stripe that make your eyes pop out

and the machine quilting follows the spirals

I have to confess that I chickened out of the curved seam so the big circle is appliqueed on the black fabric Shocked

Anyways, my partner liked it. C&c very welcome.

stellou - that's awesome!
Super job!
I want a wedge ruler so bad!!  They don't sell them here in town - unless you want to pay the high boutique prices.. I'm going to keep an eye on Amazon & ebay...

Awesome job on the quilt! Lucky recipient!

Thank you Smiley
The wedge ruler did come from ebay. I indulged because I have a superb pattern of a French quilting magazine I want to make so I figured I'd use it at least twice...Now to try curved seams Wink

Wow - that's really great - I like the interpretation of the 'vertigo'.

Curved seams are fun.  I love drunkard's paths!
I bought a book with some fantastic curves in it that I'm dying to try. It's called Curve Patch Quilts Made Easy
I got it on Amazon for a penny plus shipping used lol.

There are a few in that book that are on my short list Smiley

Mission accomplished on the dizzying spiral. My head started making circles just from looking at this on my computer. Cheesy
