Yes, the yarn ends were a pain. If I ever make the bag again I'll do it a bit differently to avoid so many ends. I think I could pick-up and knit all of the black stitches in a round rather than picking them up with each individual diamond. That would save 10 or 20 ends per row.

After a few attempts I ended up lining the bag with black cotton. All of the other colors I tried didn't seem to work quite right.
