Beginner's Twisted Crochet Necklace - Free Pattern!

I made this necklace because my little sister said she needed something to dress up her black top... aaaand she was walking out the door in 10 minutes.  It's a very simple design (ie. the entire necklace is made entirely using only chains and sl sts), but with a little twist (pun).  This crocheted necklace is simple enough for the beginner or a quick project for any crocheter.  I think I'm going to make one with different colors to see how it looks with the twisted design...

Anyway - here's the pattern.  You can find more pictures and details on my blog.

Materials
Size G crochet hook
25 yards of any worsted weight yarn

Directions
Round 1: Ch 90.  Join to beginning ch with sl st.
Round 2: Ch 95, twist chain 6-7 times around Round 1.  Join to beginning ch with sl st.
Round 3: Ch 100, twist chain 6-7 times around Rounds 1 & 2.  Join to beginning ch with sl st.

Fast off, weave in ends.

I had the same idea! And, once I hit the store (hopefully Wednesday) to pick up some crochet thread and a bead mix, I'm giving it a go. It'll be just what I need to take my mind off of a lousy start to the week!

Oh yeah, totally.  If you strung some beads on the yarn before you started crocheting and added them ever 5-6 stitches, it would turn out really cool.  Great idea... post pictures if you end up trying it!
