Oh, and did you know there are supposed to be C&H postage stamps (USA) coming out in July?  Cheesy

You know what makes this swap a little more challenging/awesome? The fact that Bill Watterson (the creator) never merchandised C&H. So there are no toys, shirts, action figures, TV series, to work from. I think it's cool personally, but we'll have to be extra creative!

I totally agree! I remember when I first got hooked on Calvin and Hobbes years ago that I was disappointed that there wasn't more merchandise. I'm excited to see what people will come up with!

I wish I could be a part of this swap, I just don't think I could pull off a good Calvin or Hobbes. I will definitely be stalking your gallery.  Grin

Click here for a set of calvin images, ready to use! They're sort of High Resolution. This links to a flickr page.
To get the hi-res versions, click on "All Sizes" just above the image (after you click on an image you like)

Hey guys! I'm really happy to see everyone is signing up! I have a feeling this is going to be an awesome swap!

Thought you might like a few links that I came across. Everyone seems to like the snowmen comics (myself included!), so I found a link with all of them.

If you're looking for some crafting ideas, here's some of the fan art that's been made for Calvin and Hobbes.

And finally, I thought it might be neat if we all share some of our favorite strips! I've always been a fan of this one:

LOL, because we all know that's how Bill Watterson actually wrote the strips, right? Wink

Ooh! I love the art link! Thank you so much! So much great art on there... Ideas are swirling...

This is my favorite cartoon. It's one I've remembered since I was a kid. I always giggle. It's the 12 year old girl in me, I know...

That's always the hardest part about these swaps is the waiting for partners. I share your pain. Smiley

I'm having fun seeing everyone's favorite comics! There's nothing like a good dose of Calvin and Hobbes!

This is another of my favorite comics. Anything that has to do with Calvin and writing usually, but I like this one especially since I thought about pulling this with my profs more than once when I had to write all of my undergraduate English papers.

Yay! I signed up.

Here's some resources:
Calvins and Hobbes Archive
Cavlin and Hobbes search

Thanks so much!  I am going to be reading Calvin and Hobbes all day, now... I couldn't pick a favourite comic when I was filling out my questionnaire... perhaps if I read them all in one day I will decide Tongue
