basically yes, you post anywhere you are allowed to (you cant do that here, fyi) and you post ALOT..not obnoxious, but i would say at least one post, per forum per day

also, add it to your signatures on any site you are allowed to (i got yelled at on disboards, but i didnt even realize it was against the rules)

i would say if you dont already belong to sites or message boards dedicated to what you craft and want to sell, definitely start posting there BEFORE you set up shop, people tend to trust people more when they dont start with the sales pitch right off the bat

Hi all

after a lot of hard work I have finally completed my website but I am really not happy with my business name. It is currently Shine Charms & Jewellery. This was because I started off making beaded handbag charms but have now completely changed my stock and style as shown in the photos below but I am really struggling to find a name that will be easy to remember, stand out but indicate the style of jewellery I design and make. Can any of you give me any ideas for a suitable name, I am racking my brains.

Thanks for any help it is greatly appreciated
Hugs
Laura

Maybe something like "Sweet Chic" or "Sweet Treats" or "Sugar Wear"?

ooooh, i like sugar wear!

ok, so i havent set up shop yet, mainly because i dont have a good name.  i've come up with "morgan anna" "anna scot" and "morgans madness"
i plan to sell artwork, earrings, and maybe some more crafty things like painted boxes and cat toys.  my style tends to be edgy, dark, and pretty. i have a lot of things posted on craftster if you want to check it out.
i would love, and need your advice!

i love personal swaps. i'm looking to swap my art or paper crafts for some re-usable fabric snack bags, fabric sandwich wraps, fabric paper towels, glass pendants, ephemera, or art books.

You have a variety of things which makes it sort of hard to pinpoint a name. The first thing that popped into my head was "A Touch of Radness" (like A Touch of Madness? Yeah, lame, onto the next one!) and then I thought "A Touch of Emotion", which is sort of in the same pool. "Inspired by Nature", "Twisted Love", "Nature's Imperfections"...hopefully something from there will inspire a good name. =)

I am planning out an etsy store, and was having a hard time coming up with names. I was wondering if you wonderful craftsters had any good ideas.

The store is going to donate all of its profits to charity (I'm not sure which one yet, but I figured since I craft to make myself happy, it would be nice to make other people happy because of my crafting). I'm expecting to, for the large part, sell a variety of different headbands, mostly the thin bands with flowers, feathers, pearls etc, but I might be selling small amounts of other crafts too, because I dabble in a lot of different things.

But I don't want a name that overemphasizes the charity aspect, because though I want it to play a key aspect in the store and maybe be referenced to in the name, I don't want it to sound like "buy my stuff because the money goes to a good cause." I'd want people to buy it because they like my shop, and I'd like it to sound somewhat classy. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm babbling. I really just barely have the startings of an idea here, but I'm pretty sure I will be able to create a banner once I have a good idea going.

If you have any ideas I'd really love to hear them. Smiley

"The Making of Miracles" popped into my head after reading your post, including many variations of that such as "The Makings of a Miracle", "Magic in Miracles", and "Miracles in the Making".

I hope this helped!

And now I think it's my turn. I had a name for my future business, "Jar of Dreams", but found out it's the name of at least one popular book (which I'd obviously never heard of Embarrassed) and I don't know if I want to use it anymore. Then I thought of "Dream Speak" which is the title of many dream interpretation websites. I'd go with "Demos Oneiron" (Greek Land of Dreams) but that's not a name people remember and the spelling may be off (I've researched for weeks and found many variations, and none have proof of being correct). So basically, I need help coming up with a new name (why else would I be here, right?) and hopefully I'll be organized enough to get someone's attention.

What I'll sell: Hoodies of a messy nature (such as strips of different solid fabrics to create patterns, plain hoodies with lots of embellishments, patterned or band hoodies with convertible/unconventional qualities), hand-painted shirts (mainly tank tops carrying a dream-like/surrealist appearance), purses (unusual fabrics and designs, hidden/extra compartments for storage, my original patterns only, always reversible), jewelry (following the dream-like/surrealist theme, incorporates soft and hard with feminine and edgy, ribbon/chain, scrabble tile pendants/earrings, fiber art form jewelry, fabric scrap items), journals (multipurpose--to include mixed materials such as old paper, handmade paper, fabric, etc.), dolls (stuffed animals/creatures representing a theme, could be custom-made)
~~All goods will have at least one part that is eco-friendly by means of recycling/thrifting/repurposing. My items will mostly be unusual, not 100% surrealist but surrealism plays a grand part in my products, as well as trees (to me they mean dreams) and the actual dreaming elements (clouds, flow, secret compartments, etc.). Sort of a striking meets edgy meets futuristic.~~

What I'll include: I want to make the people who bought from me feel like I'm truly grateful for their purchase and will create hand-written thank you notes inside vintage button bags with a small card that says something kind or thoughtful on it. I was thinking I'd include a free gift of their choice for every X amount of money they spend (could be free shipping, small jewelry, craft supplies, a picture).

For further help, here are some pictures of things I've created so far (no hoodies, journals, or dolls I'm willing to sell yet):

Cheesy Thank you! That sparked some great ideas Smiley

And I don't know about the name, but you should put elements of green in your logo and banner!
