Made these pendants last week. Just added the bails this morning so the glue is still drying. Will post an updated photo of the totally finished product later. Smiley

They're resin with various components including abalone, pearls, beads, vintage rhinestones and a pinch of fine iridescent glitter for added sparkle.

They are so Nice! I've done work with resin and I never thought to use shells like you have. They are like Mermaid drops XD

Have you done much work with resin before? I just made a batch and they never formed right. I was thinking it was humidity. Have you ever had that problem?

Is that a real (but obviously expired!) seahorse in resin in your avatar??? Where did you get it (the seahorse, I mean)?

It's possible that it's humidity. I have had a few instances where my resin projects didn't cure properly during certain weather conditions, like when it rains heavily for several days at a clip.

It is indeed a real seahorse! A few years back a friend and I were walking along the beach looking for shells. After about ten minutes of combing the sand I spotted the wee seahorse skeleton half tangled in a clump of seaweed. I encased it in resin soon after to avoid accidentally breaking it. For a while I kept it in a drawer as a good luck charm but last year I added a silver bail and now it's a unique statement necklace. Smiley

I'm also in love with your seahorse necklace! The abalone is great. Love the shapes you've used!
