Just finished this bag yesterday morning and I'm kind of in love with it. It's the first bag I've ever made and it's huge enough to carry around all my momma stuff (snacks, water bottles, first aid kit, camera) plus my regular stuff (wallet, cell phone, planning calendar). The print fabric and orange lining are from IKEA. The linen was from my fabric stash. It was also the first time I made my own fabric covered button. Completely fun project and I'm sure I'll make another one!

Hah! I looked at your picture and went "why is that fabric familiar?" Then, I read your post and realized tha I have seen it at my Ikea too! They have some really great, sturdy stuff! I really like the bag you made! It looks like you bought it somewhere!

Great job! I wouldn't have thought to use linen on a purse. Thanks for sharing Smiley

Thanks for your comments! I'm hoping putting that light colored linen on the bottom isn't going to come back to bite me in the butt by getting all dirty. And I have a new bag (different pattern and different fabrics) all cut out and waiting to be sewn! It's kind of addictive....

That is a FABULOUS bag!  I also saw that material at Ikea and loved it.  Stood there for about 10 minutes trying to think of what I could make with it.  Well done. Cool
