When I saw this headboard on QVC for $250 dollars I thought to myself "I can make that"

I am quite proud of the result.

The stuffing is made from old pillows that had become too flat to support a head anymore and the buttons are actually fabric covered pennies.

Below is a link to the image of the one I designed it after.

Wow that's really cool. Your should be proud of yourself! Did you mount the pillows onto a board or something? Is it attached to your wall?
I am in awe!!

Thank-you. It was a lot of fun to make.
I used a lightweight piece of board we had leftover from a larger project. I drilled holes in a board where I wanted the buttons to go. Then I attached the pillow stuffing and wrapped the whole thing in fabric. I covered the pennies in fabric using this instructable:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Sew-Useful-Fabric-Covered-Buttons-NO-KITS!!!/
Then I sewed them on by sending the thread through the hold I had drilled to the front of the headboard, through the fabric on the back of the button, and back through the same hole to the back of the headboard where I tied it off to secure. Because the buttons are sewn on they helped to secure the pillow stuffing in place.

This headboard came out great.  It looks very classy and very close to the inspiration piece.
