Grin  Yay for fiber and yaaaaaaaarn!

This is take 2 on "Shadow Priest"  This was a request from one of my WoW friends, so I modified it a bit by plying it with gold thread.

That's it for this week from me... I have stuff on the wheel, but it is going to be plied twice Cheesy

Happy fiber friday ladies!

Yay This is my first ever fiber friday post!

This is 4oz of BFL spun thick and thin for a swap, its bulky weight. The goal was to make it "lumpy"

I'll throw in my newbie yarn.  It's not perfect, but I'm getting better!  This is the 4th yarn I've spun.  40 yds, 1.1 oz.  Bubblegum pink and Office grey plied together.

Nom nom pretty yarns!

This is the last yarn from me for a month or so...going to summer school and it's not worth it to bring my spinning supplies. But then I'm visiting my aunt and I will have my wheel, so hopefully I'll have lots of lovely yarns to share then!

I had some leftovers from a swap so I dyed some fiber for myself! The brown is milk fiber and the blue is silk. I've never spun anything but wool before, so it was an interesting experience. This yarn is sooo soft and fuzzy. But there's enough for a decent project here, I wonder what I shall make??

Woot Belladune! Awesome! WoW!

I spun up some stuff this week but I can't post some due to swap pal not recieving yet. So, I spun up a mini skein on my Goldings dropspindle.. it was from a cool grab bag of fiber at MS&W from Bullens Wullens..they SO rock. I spend the bulk of my funds there every year..I believe this is faulkland and 15% bamboo. I also have never plyed on my spindle before..

sorry for the tad too brite pic..sadly it was the best..lol.

Belladune -Shadow Priest v2.0 really turned out well with the gold thread.

Shocked All the yarns are really really gorgeous this week, if i could i'd take them home with me.

Nothing finished this week to show but here's an in progress pic. The coin used as a size reference is an Australian 5c which is about 2cm in diameter:

It's going to take me a while to get through all the fibre for it (and i'm not too happy with the colour it came out Lips sealed)

Everyone's yarns this week look fantastic! I agree with Azzarath, send them all to me! Wink

This week I have spun my first ever plied yarn!

It is 3-ply merino: my custard/ice cream merino from last week as well as some lovely powder blue and lilac merino. It is just over 100m and really squishy. I've been carrying it around and showing it to anyone who will look! Cheesy I'm not sure what to call it - any suggestions?
