So I got the jewelry-making bug....kinda.... And I wanted to try my hand at a wire cage necklace (I wanna figure out how to make one that can open w/o having to bend the wires --maybe next time)

Saw a site with the tutorial on it
http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art66581.asp

So I made this wire cage charm and put a D12 die in it. And for the necklace itself, I had a nice pair of earbuds (skull candy brand) that came with an extender cord---which eventually died on me Sad --I used it well, the internal wires must've snapped. To give it another use--it became like this :

And the best part is that it didn't take long :p

I would very much like to steal that necklace.  Chic and geeky.

The ones I have use an elastic rubber gasket (very small) that hold the pieces and die in place or are just pretty springs kinda things. You did and awesome job. I love dice jewelry.

I'm awful! I just found this. It turned out wonderfully, and I love the way you did the bail on it. I'm glad you liked the project!

Thank you all ^_^
Sorry for my delay on returning thanks ^^; I've been working on my crochet...I should make a few more of these before I lose the other dice I have Tongue
I had also done a few with decorative stones--I think the hardest parts were getting the things to stay in place as I maneuvered the wire around it, and figuring out how to end it ^_^

And good luck to all of you if/when you try it out ^_^

The bail is the top loop that connects the cage to the cord.
